WHAT WE DO
Farming
Based in Central Indiana, farming is in our roots. We cultivate a variety of crops across our roughly 3,000 acres of farm land. In addition to our own farms, we work closely with a network of farmers throughout the state.
Indiana is known for its diverse crop production including corn, wheat, popcorn, sweet corn, melons, pumpkins, tomatoes, mint, sunflowers and many more. Our goal is to help our customer source produce from local farms for food manufacturing, food service, and raw produce retail.
Food Production & Manufacturing
Contract Food Manufacturing is one of the largest in-demand services within the food industry supply chain. We focus on innovative and flexible processes in order to offer services to customers at levels. We have no minimum order quantity, and also work with a support network of partner, local co-manufactures. This means there is no job too small or too large. Our facility is registered with the FDA and has obtained Primus GFS 3rd party audit certifications. Our operations meet GFSI standers and are accepted among national retailers around the world. Along with domestic distribution, we export products to Canada, Europe and Asia.
Our services go far beyond your typical contract manufacturer. Having founded farm to kitchen brands ourselves, we strive to offer a full suite of services to help fellow food and farm entrepreneurs take their products to market. ABOUT US
In 2014 we launched our first farm to kitchen brand, Poppin’ Cobs Popcorn. As farmers ourselves, we were looking for a way to set ourselves apart by launching a CPG brand to take our high quality popcorn direct to consumers. We settled on this unique popcorn on the cob product as a fun and healthier way to share our love for popcorn. After hand picking our first crop, we sold out in matter of days and returned to the field to pick more. This was the beginning of our journey into the world of Value Added Producers. Ten years later, Poppin’ Cobs Popcorn remains one of BGPs flagship brands. We continue to expand the product line by developing new artisan popcorn products and we are launching into new retailers every month. We have been able to successfully place Poppin’ Cobs into retailers such as Costco CA, Sprouts, Hy-Vee, Amazon, Meijer Market Format Stores, Fresh Market, Fresh Thyme, Central Market and more.
We have learned a lot over the past decade, and our team continues engagement with our network of buyers and brokers to stay up to date on the latest trends and demands.
